Voor de Disney short “Dad… Can I Borrow the car” werd een Ford uit 1966 door pinstripe-koning Herb Martinez voorzien van een aantal mooie strepen. Tot Herb gebeld wordt en even wegloopt van de Ford. De twee strepen maken de klus vervolgens op redelijk epische wijze zelf af. Schitterende stop-motion animatie uit 1970. De volledige film staat er vervolgens onder en is ook aboluut de moeite van het bkijken waard, want er komt nog veel meer moois voorbij (thanx cosh)

A live-action short, using many avant-garde film techniques, that looks at American car culture in the late 1960s. The main section deals with the many trials and obstacles a teenager must face on the path to being able to drive. Surviving the driver’s education class is only the first step, as the teenager must then pass his driving test, and then finally get permission to borrow the family car.…”
